November Q&A: When A Parent Won't Apologize
sitwithwhit.substack.com

Hi and thank you for being a subscriber! Along with weekly emails, I host a live + recorded monthly Q&A for paid subscribers where you can ask me anything that is relevant to the monthly theme.

November’s Q&A theme: My Parent Won’t Apologize

It can be very hurtful, confusing, and disorienting when you need a parent to apologize and they either don’t know how- or turn the narrative in order to emphasize ‘all they’ve done for you’.

I want to help you understand why some parents struggle to apologize and how you can move through this difficult dynamic or come to a point of acceptance.

Ask me anything about:

  • Why some parents struggle to apologize- or can't apologize at all.

  • How to tell your parent when you want an apology + changed behavior

  • How to accept when your parent won't apologize

  • How to apologize to your parent

  • How to apologize when it was never modeled for you

My promise to you, as always: I will not use weird psychobabble, or self-help lingo. Everything will have a purpose. I explain why I’m using certain tools or interventions and why it matters.

I’ll be answering questions anonymously and you can send them to me via email (reply to this email) or ask me live. I’d love to see you there.

Monthly Q&A: Friday, November 18th @ 10:30 AM | ET
