Thank you for this :) Do you have any advice or tips you could offer for ways to cope with a child who has frequent, very loud meltdowns when you have sensory issues, and the sound shuts down your rational thought? I want to support my child and be a safe space, but sometimes, despite my best efforts, I make the situation worse because I've become dysregulated too and I either want to yell or run away. Neither of which are helpful.
thank you so much Whitney. i am celebratiing myself for allowing myself to feel all of the negative AND the positive emotions, both validating the nuances, without psychoanalysing and overthinking,, is this agony? is this grief? so just feeling it lol
